EXPERIENCE ON THE FIRST DAY OF HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI

Every year, my family and I always celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri in the village which is situated in Perak. We always arrive a day early before the arrival of the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. I will be thrilled every time I wait for the arrival of that day because of this occasion our family will gather with other family members to celebrate this festival together.

On the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, I woke up early awakened by my mother. After I finished a bath and performed the dawn prayers, I was getting ready to wear my new baju kurung that I recently bought. After a while, my parents went to the mosque for Hari Raya prayers.

At the same time, I watch over the house and the kids with other members of the family. After fasting for 30 days in Ramadhan, it is time for me to enjoy all kind of food. My parents and the maid cook all kind of food the day before Hari Raya Aidilfitri. There are ketupat, rendang, cakes, biscuits and many more that I like to eat. I was eating while waiting for their return.

At about noon, my family members from all over the places are gathered at my grandparent’s house celebrating Hari Raya together. I am very happy at that time to meet all of my cousins, play and chat with them. We ate together, talk together and laugh together. It’s was so much fun. For time to time, there are some children coming hari raya at our house. As the lady in this house, I treat them to eat.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is interesting event because all of the mistake and hatred are been forgives and forget. Each of my family members would apologize to each other either older or younger includes my family. One thing that I like the most is my grandmother, my parents and relative would give me the Hari Raya money.

When night comes, we are letting off firecrackers and fireworks. The atmosphere filled with the sound of exploding fireworks. We all slept late that night, chatting with each other. In conclusion, I like to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with my family and the other family members. The first day of this festival for every year is a sweet memory for me.

MY MEMORABLE VACATION

When I was about 6 years old, my family and I went on holiday in Port Dickson. My mother had booked rooms for our family for 3 days and 2 nights. We arrived at the hotel at about 9 in the morning. When I got out, the smell of the sea is close. A gentle breeze blew. After we checked in into our room, I saw a large sea and beautiful scenery from the window.

Not long after that, we gathered near the sea with other families. That day, there are competitions held in for “Family Days”. My siblings and I participated in the games and my parents were cheering for us. There are about five teams and my siblings and I are in the same team with the other children. We have so damn much fun playing the games with other children. I saw my father took pictures of us playing. We played many kinds of games like treasure hunt, running wear sack, playing with the water balloon and many more.

At night, my parents brought us to the restaurant to eat. We can asked anything for us to eat. It was wonderful. I was too full to eat again. I can remember clearly that my family and I slept quite late that night watching movie ‘Titanic’. I like this movie very much.

The next day, we wake up quite early to look at the rising sun. That day, I spent my time playing with my family. It was really fun. We took a lot of pictures of us playing together. At the evening, we went to see the horses. That’s the first time I held the horse. A person in charge of the horse gives permission to us to ride the horse but in his care. I did not take his offer because I scared that I fell.

That night I slept quite early. After dinner, i felt very sleepy so that's why I go to bed early. I think I dreamed that night about what I do that day. at noon the next day, we checked out from the hotel.

That holiday I can't seem to forgot because i have so much fun. Although it happened 12 years ago I still can remember the time I spent with my family there. It was my most memorable vacation I will never forgot.

MY BIODATA

It was early morning on October 9 year 1992. A baby girl was born in Universiti Hospital and this baby was me. I was named Nurul Nadiah since that day. Eighteen years later, I found myself studying at Selangor International Islamic University College taking diploma in accountancy field. My house is at Desa Mahkota, Bangi Lama which is nearby to my college though I stayed at the dormitory. This is because my classes sometimes finished late at night and my parents don’t always have the time to pick me up.

I’m the third child from four siblings and the only daughter in the family. So my parent’s is over protective towards me than my siblings. That’s also can be the reason I stayed at the dormitory. During the holidays, I spent my free time sitting at home, surfing internet, watching television, and sleeping. It had become my hobby, naturally. My mother always cook for me and the rest of the family. For me, the most delicious food is my mother’s cooking.

I began my early education at the age of 6 in kindergartens for a year. At that time, I lived in Balakong, Cheras. I lived there since I was born. When I’m 7 years old, I continued my education to primary school at Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Seri Sekamat until I’m in standard 6. The primary school I was in is not close to my home so my parents put me under the nursery care.

At the age of 13, I continued my education to secondary school at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Cheras Jaya. I chose this school because it was close to my house. It became easier for me to go and come home from school. I attended school there until I was 17 years old which is where I took my examination (SPM). At the school, I met two good friends and they now become my best friends.

After my examination (SPM) finished, I had to moved to Desa Mahkota because my parents like the house there. It’s become difficult for me to meet with my best friends because of the distance become further. Although we cannot meet as always, we still keep in touch through the internet and via telephone.

MOVIE REVIEW (THE DEVIL)

About a month ago, I went by car to watch movie with my best friend at the Mines. By the time we arrived, the only movie that available was “The Devil“. We don’t have any choice, so we decided to watch this horror movie. This movie was about five strangers trapped in an elevator of an inner-city office building. The elevator got stuck between floors and only 2 security guards noticed through the CCTV in the elevator. These 5 strangers didn't realize that the Devil is standing among them. When the light went out in the elevator, they died mysteriously one by one. Detective Bowden who was nearby the scene came to aid in the investigation. He tried to discover who was behind the killings. He assumed one of them was the murderer. Detective Bowden realized that all the 5 people that trapped in the elevator had committed crime except one person who had a hidden background. One of the security guards believed that the Devil was with the people in the elevator. This was because his mother had told him stories about the Devil when his was a child. He was also been told that anyone who tried to interfere with the Devil will die.
